Publisher Sales Rights are set by the publisher for you to determine the locations where you can and cannot sell products. (Ingram will not block you from ordering, but it is important that you understand and comply with any applicable parallel import laws.)
Publisher Sales Rights information is available via our FTP packages within the Inventory folder. At this time, the Web Service will not display Publisher Sales Rights information.
Prior to the addition of the Publisher Sales Rights information, we advised our customers to use the Country Exclusion file and Ingram Restriction Codes to determine what books can be ordered from Ingram and shipped to a specific location. You can continue to use the Ingram Restriction and Country Exclusion files if Publisher Sales Rights are not a concern for you.
Note: Ingram does not advise our retail customers where they can or cannot sell a book. There are various laws that apply, including the laws of the territory into which the seller wants to sell the book. It is the seller’s responsibility to determine whether or not a book they purchase from us may be sold into a given territory. If the Publisher of the book provides us with their territorial rights, we will make them available to our retailers. However, the publisher’s rights are not necessarily the same as the seller’s rights.
