The Ingram FTP Data Service provides a group of related data files that contain detailed information about books, music, videos, and video games, as well as gifts and games that are available from Ingram Content Group. The files are available for download from an FTP server that is maintained by Ingram Content Group. The data elements found in these files provide booksellers and librarians with the raw data needed to populate an Internet presence or in-store reference/point of sale (POS) system.
User ID and password authentication are required to access the data via FTP or SFTP connection. The credentials provide access to the folders and files that correspond with your data license. You will receive an error when attempting to download files from folders that are not included in your data license.
When you sign up for a subscription, you will receive credentials for our Production environment. You may begin downloading data immediately. If your subscription includes images, an image backlist will be provided to you within 7-10 business days.
Please note: To reduce download time and network consumption, it is recommended that you download the zipped version of a file where available.
FTP Server Availability
The Ingram FTP server is available 24 hours, seven days a week, except during a once-weekly scheduled maintenance window on Saturday/Sunday. If the server will be unavailable for any reason other than the scheduled maintenance window listed below, a notification will be sent via email to the technical contact listed on your account profile. Please notify Data Services if technical contact changes need to be made for your account: data.services@ingramcontent.com.
