Obtaining stock via FTP is best if you wish to receive inventory data for a large number of items or need to upload inventory into a database or to third-party vendors.
We provide two format options for our US Wholesale inventory files. Our traditional inventory files are flat fixed-width text files that can be downloaded from the Ingram FTP server. We also have a smaller version in a CSV format with fewer fields. You have several options for updating your inventory information:
-
- Download the full stock file once a day or every 4 hours (except on Sundays when there is a scheduled maintenance window.)
- Download the full stock file for an initial load and then download the delta stock files every 4 hours (except on Sundays when there is a scheduled maintenance window.).
- Download the full stock file for an initial load and then download the daily delta file once a day. (CSV stock files are not available as once-daily deltas.)
- Download the full stock file once and then the weekly delta file (This option is not typically recommended since stock levels can change so rapidly. CSV stock files are not available as weekly deltas.)
Many customers who use our FTP inventory files also use the Web Service real-time stock checks to confirm availability during the customer check-out process.
